When I was 15 years old, my mother, sister and I took a trip to Montevideo, Uruguay. That place was amazing. Imagine a place with little crime, where time felt like it stood still, far away from the rat race of U.S. high technology life. The people were so friendly and never seemed to be in a rush to get to somewhere and the food was unbelievable.
Recently I found an Anthony Bourdain video on YouTube.com that showed some of the cuisine and culture that these great people have and that I also experienced (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muAFU5KL5is&sns=em), again amazing.
My hope is that SOMEDAY, I will be able to take my wife and kids there to experience the magic of all that I experienced in my youth. If you have the chance to travel there one day, don't miss the opportunity.
